Willow Class is taught by Mrs O’Dell and supported by Mrs Hurrell, Mrs Thacker and Mrs Whitaker. We have children in both year 5 and year 6 in Willow and we aim to support children to develop the academic and personal skills necessary for the transition to high school. We encourage children to take on responsibilities within the school and develop their own independent learning. We want all children to develop a love of reading. Children are expected to read daily at home and keep notes in their reading record books. Please remember that children gain such a lot from sharing books or listening to stories read by grown ups at home – even at this end of primary school.
This year, homework will comprise of My Maths, spellings and some additional reading and writing tasks. If you have problems accessing work please let us know and we will make arrangements for your child.
P.E. will be taught on Tuesday and Friday. Children should come to school in P.E. kit on those days.
If you have any worries you can contact us through the school office email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
